Lough Na Blaithi is a 600-acre lake.  The lake is located 5 miles north of the town and is sign posted from Strokestown. From the Board walk fishing stands located on the northwestern shore you can fish into 20 feet of water. There is a good stock of Pike in the lake and there are regular reports of good fish caught every year.
 
ACCESS & FACILITIES: Inland Fisheries Ireland provides 60 fishing spaces, access roadway and car park.  40 of these spaces are connected by a 600m continuous board walk on the southern shore of the lake, with the remaining 20 on the northern shoreline.  Four of the spaces on the board walk are suitable for use by disabled anglers.  For pike fishing it is recommended that you launch your boat at facilities located on the south western end of the lake.
